This generation is technophile, and for that we always criticize social media. But we should also understand its positive impacts. It is the panacea to many hopeless cases.

#metoo movement underwent a maverick idea. Let the molesters be ashamed. This movement is for severe harassment in workplaces.
Now the question is, Who has originated it? 2006, A woman from America, named as Tarana Burke, who built up the courage and exposed her male colleague Harvey weilstorm on social media. Afterwards, in 2017, an American actress, Alyssa Milano took it to the next level. She persuaded women to speak out in public, then people became aware of it. And then it got widespread popularity.
In 2017, a Malayalam actress was harassed by a group of men. In India, #metoo wind came from here. Well known people are getting unveiled. It is not restricted upto women only. Men are also posting the traumatized incidents happened in their lives. But people are exploiting it rather than using it wisely. Some artful people are misapplying it for their personal grudges. Some subterfuges are doing it to be in a limelight. And some imaginative people are sketching false stories (which does not even make sense). The motive of this movement is totally going into a wrong direction. Actions like negging and gaslighting, which didn't include in 2006s wave, people are including it now. In the eyes of law, it is punishable. I won't call it a crime, as it seems more of a psychological disorder. And it's the criticism of 2018s #metoo movement which has subdued its merits.
Bollywood is all about faking things, and how could they leave this wonderful chance! So now they are remembering all kinds of abuses which they came across and putting themselves on a vulnerable and veracious side. I am a wrong person to comment on their character. But these are not the incidents which come under 2006s wave. Somewhere, we all have suffered from harassment in our lives but it is for SEVERE HARASSMENTS, and not for taking revenge or be in a limelight.
