I have never been to Kashmir, but I heard that it's heaven on earth. It is said that the fortunate deceased soul acquires a place in heaven in the exchange of good deeds. Ironically, residents of Kashmir are doomed with the sabotaged atmosphere. You won't find children playing cricket on the streets, neither will you find cafes or theatres for chilling out. There is a strange greyness in its atmosphere which is an indication of despondency. No hangouts, no games, no wandering, that's how they live their lives in apprehension. A place is known by its residents, if they are petrified and tormented, then its beauty has no existence.
A few days ago, LeT used a 12-year child as a human shield, despite his kinsfolk begging for mercy. There are innumerable ruthless events take place on a daily basis.
Both Lok Sabha and Vidhan Sabha elections are near and why to care about politics and who will be the next PM, when Kashmiri residents can't even assure safe haven for themselves? Even political parties have no interest in organising rallies and campaigns there except some pseudo seculars like Mr Farukh Abdullah and former CM Mehbooba Mufti, who toes the line of Pakistan and spits poison against India. India-Pakistan and Israel-Palestine's tussle is a historic Gordian knot. Somewhat it's like a tug of war game, where both teams try to pull the rope on their respective sides until one of the team drags over the centre point, team members standing near to the border, get hurt the most. In India-Pakistan issue, whole India gets hurt when our lion-hearted soldiers get martyred, but the folks of Kashmir are near to the point of the war, so there becomes an atmosphere of annihilation and when Pakistan retaliates, they become its victim.
Apart from this, there is a surge in the number of insurrectionists, they inflict a rebellious attitude in youngsters. However, after Pulwama attack, some of the insurrectionists' security has been revoked, it reduced their power to some extent. A mammoth Rs 88,911 crore of the budget has been passed by the state government of J&K in December 2018, where it goes, nobody knows! They brainwashed Kashmiri youngsters, spend nothing for their betterment and use them and their money for living a sybaritic life in Dubai. That's how their business gains profit! At the golden period of achieving paramount of success, Kashmiri youngsters get divulged in wrong-doings. At any time, the curfew is imposed and daily work gets hindered. Just think about a child who has an ability to outperform his current performance is restrained to go to school because of the
curfew and going through a long distraction, he develops a negative vibe which won't let him go beyond the horizon.
Kashmiris have the right to seek all the facilities which a normal resident of India has. How long they will agonize? How long they will be restricted to good infrastructure facilities? Is there any solution to their despondency or will they remain pessimistic till eternity? The answer lies in one word i.e 'Politics'. Many quote former PM Pt. Jawaharlal Nehru and the Father of the nation- Gandhi Ji as a reason behind the opening of Pandora's box. We can't get that time back to heal the old wounds neither the problem can be solved by abusing Gandhi Ji or Nehru Ji. Politics is the prime and the best solution to revitalize Kashmir. I find great white hope in PM Narendra Modi, under his incumbent India has become the fastest growing economy, if Jammu and Kashmir folks get the platform to perform and get attached with the mainstream, then it can work wonders. If there is any heaven on earth, it is in Kashmir and to rejuvenate its folks and to nurture its youngsters, we need a wise and an amiable leader in the form of a pedagogue, who will nurture them with love, penalise the stone pelters and restore Kashmir's tranquillity.
