Thousands of promises in thousands of rallies and events, all over India, political speeches are echoing, every second person is becoming a political analyst. Crores of people and their endless desires to be fulfilled. In Ayodhya, some folks require satisfactory jobs and education to stop migration. On the other hand, some are eyeing the construction of Ram temple. In Chhattisgarh, politicians are promising the termination of Maoism and Naxalism and so on. There are innumerable issues but whole India is sticking to some 4-5 major issues i.e., communal discord, unemployment, corruption, farmers' death, and electricity. These all are the main focus area of manifesto of any political party. But, they all are tight-lipped about the protection of nature, wildlife and old monuments as they are not a part of the political gimmicks.
The famous Gwalior ka kila is now home to garbage, dust, and spiderweb. To my understanding, it doesn't attract a large amount of profit from tourists as its ticket price is cheap, so the archeological department never looks into its maintenance. Gwalior's kila is the emblem of prosperity, art, and martyrdom. Many other sung or unsung monuments are there in India, which are not taken care of. It's the heritage of India, and it's the obligation of political leaders to maintain its prosperity. Otherwise, it won't sustain for future generation and we will lose our symbol of pride of those historic moments. Mr. Amitabh Bachchan has recently started a campaign on social media #Indiafoundchallenge for pinning many hidden monuments to the heritage map of India. Leaders must think in a creative manner. It won't grab votes but restore the archaic beauty of India.
Few months back, a catastrophic flood in Periyar river has brutally destroyed Kerala. Due to heavy pollution, fishes are succumbing to death near the banks of that river. Delhi's air is a farrago of deadly cocktail, the nation's capital is turning into a hub of noxious diseases. Now Odisha is under the grip of fani cyclone and the meteorological department has given a warning to West Bengal as well, the situation is all under control as 10 lakh people are shifted to a safe place and all are instructed to not to go out of their homes. Disaster management's work is restricted to restoring the place, and minimization of lose, but cannot stop the happening of calamity. Politics plays a vital role here, politicians must take a vow to protect the environment first rather than promising the construction of temples to Hindus and mosques to Muslims, they are obliged towards maintaining the beauty of nature.
Apart from this, we are unable to protect wildlife. Every now, and then, we read in newspapers that a lion or tiger is roaming here and there in a city. Why does it happen? We are destroying their forest for building industries, gigantic buildings and hotels for tourists, so where will they reside? We have snatched their livelihood for satisfying our greed. Is it not the responsibility of a political leader to make a strict law against the destruction of wildlife? People like Salman Khan do poaching for fulfilling their passion and get off scot-free. Many laws are there, but its correct implementation and amendments are significant here. Nature and wildlife is our main source of living, and they can't express their annoyance, but they come under the territory of India and once they turn hostile, then there is a mass obliteration, the best example is Uttarakhand landslide. 'Prathvi krodh mein hai, prathvi nahi bachegi to kayki satta or kayki rajneeti'
